This is my last week casual work outfit for Friday. I love to wear this H&M jacket for pop of color against the neutrals! God, I have been SHOPPING so much lately, its B.A.D. and I must stop.
Are you shopping alot too now that it is spring?
Gosh, pls say yes (just to make me feel better!) Maybe I need a 30X30 remix!
As many of you might know by now that me and my husband got married a month ago. I have always envisioned us doing things together when we willl get married and start living together (as we have dated 7 years - I have ALOT of time dreaming about what things we would do together, where we would go for vacations, values we will create for our lifestyle etc.) and now I am in it - living the dream. :D
Have you heard of TED videos? It is just as addicting as Pinterest. Anywho, I watched a video there about HABIT CHANGE and they claim that it takes 30 days to change or create a new habit...
SO.
We both are young and have bad gums - we decided to create a new habit. We decided to brush 2 times a day and floss and gargle with mouthwash afterwards EVERY.DAY. (no excuses). I know I know.....isnt that a normal thing to do? Kudos to you if you do it. Well I confess that I always wanted to make this a priority but never did it.. But now we DO.IT.TOGETHER. it makes it easy and harder to just brush it off!
We have done it for 10 days already and SEEMS easier and easier everyday.
Is that any habit you have been wanting to change? Would you do it for 30 days?
Today is my bridal shower!!! Wow, it is like Jan 8th already, well not LIKE, IT IS! 2011 flew right by and now 2012 is even going by faster it seems. Probably because I am so excited and want to be doing a million things at one as the wedding draws near!
Today is my bridal shower! I can not believe it is already here. My mom to-be (Ryan's mom technically) is throwing me this lavishing shower where I will be surrounded by family, R's cousins, friends, besties and moms, coworkers and a type of celebration every girl dreams of (I heard this through the grapevine). I am so freaking lucky and very blessed to become part of his family, they care SO much about me.
I have been waiting 6 years for this day to come, I still havent decided what to wear. Either it will be a one-shoulder bright dress or an LBD with bright accessories, we shall see. I will pose pics in a post in the coming week.
2012 is our year, is a year where my best friend and I will get married. Only a girl's heart can know how she feels when there are few days left for her to get married. There are so many emotions running through my heart and mind these days.
The excitement to be searching for THE wedding dress, then sad emotions about parting with my family soon after the wedding, amazement on how far R and I have come and become so much stronger than we have ever been
Vest: Hand me downs, Boots: S.M., Pants: GAP ($15), Plaid: thrifted ($7)
and then the next moment, I get so much more happy to think about new things we would do as newlyweds and start our new life together - a new chapter in life, sometimes feel anxious wondering if everything would go ok. In fact, I wont be suprised if there would be some bumps along the way. and that is ok, nothing is perfect. Well except GOD.
Infact, my only resolution this year to Enjoy more, Laugh more and Worry less, esp about things not in our control and I wanna share my new favourite song with all of you called "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bob McFerin.
What is your "things/habits to improve on" for this new year!?
Gingham: Old Navy ($8), Jeans: Thrifted ($4), Sweater: F21 ($7)
This sweater color is the perky green type, doesnt show well in pictures though. I love layering at this time of the season...esp with different colors. I decided to pair my green sweater (boxing day find for only $7!) with my Blue Gingham shirt that I absolutely love.
Guys, it is 58 days till we tie the knot...wow IT is coming up so so so soon! I am looking forward to being with my honey, but I keep thinking how much I will miss living with my family - I mean I have lived with them for 25 years........
Would you like to see a recap of favourite looks from 2011?
Now that christmas festivities are over, I felt like being really low-maintenance and dressing in neautrals. As much as colors are wonderful to wear, there is something soothing about wearing just neutrals. This look is totally something easy to put together and head out the door in a rush. Boots, skinny pants and a blazer would do it for those work days.
My friends engagement party is in 2 days, then it is the new years eve party, and then bridal shower is also coming up soon! I am loving all the wedding goodness!
Also, past due are some of the photos from the bachelorette (some people e-mailed me wanting to see photos - so here they are!) - Enjoy!
Jeans and Belt: Thrifted ($8), Shirt: H&M ($9), Shoes: Steve Madden, Scarf: Suzy Shier ($3)
I wore this outfit for last friday as a comfy, casual outfit to the office. I bought this scarf exactly a year ago and havent gotten much use out of it. I plan on using it more so hopefully you won't get sick of seeing the same thing. I loved that white belt stood out so much in the outfit. I knew I wanted to pair plaid in this outfit as this shirt hold the same story as my scarf - bought but not worn much. I have this shirt and a plaid jacket which I wear alot..
AND NOW....
My bachelorette Party outfit:
I looked quite different that what I usually look like. I wore makeup and glasses were off, curled my hair and they surprisingly stayed that way all night. I love this sequin dress and paired it with marroon shoes, marroon clutch and maroon lipstick (thank B for letting me borrow). I thought all the marroon would be too macthy matchy but turned out not too shabby. We had dinner with close girlfriends, opened gifts, went to a bar, played some adult games (not my cup of tea but tried it anyway, turned out to be fun than I thought) had a time of my life in a fancy limo ride which had music pumping ....which took us to the dance lounge and we danced the night away...........
I am so blessed my sis in law to be and my few best friends created the best night for me...a night to remember for ALL my life :)
How was your weekend??
This was my weekend, Sunday was a day to catch up on sleep, laundry, etc.
