Neon Coral and Navy Lace (& Habit Change)

Jeans: Thrifted ($7), Scarf: Garage ($5), Belt: Thrifted ($1), Shirt: Dynamite ($5)

As many of you might know by now that me and my husband got married a month ago. I have always envisioned us doing things together when we willl get married and start living together (as we have dated 7 years - I have ALOT of time dreaming about what things we would do together, where we would go for vacations, values we will create for our lifestyle etc.) and now I am in it - living the dream. :D

Have you heard of TED videos? It is just as addicting as Pinterest. Anywho, I watched a video there about HABIT CHANGE and they claim that it takes 30 days to change or create a new habit...

SO.

We both are young and have bad gums - we decided to create a new habit. We decided to brush 2 times a day and floss and gargle with mouthwash afterwards EVERY.DAY. (no excuses). I know I know.....isnt that a normal thing to do? Kudos to you if you do it. Well I confess that I always wanted to make this a priority but never did it.. But now we DO.IT.TOGETHER. it makes it easy and harder to just brush it off!

We have done it for 10 days already and SEEMS easier and easier everyday.

Is that any habit you have been wanting to change? Would you do it for 30 days?

Bright Mondays Part 5 (Plaid and Mustard) + Bachelorette Party Outfit

Jeans and Belt: Thrifted ($8), Shirt: H&M ($9), Shoes: Steve Madden, Scarf: Suzy Shier ($3)

I wore this outfit for last friday as a comfy, casual outfit to the office. I bought this scarf exactly a year ago and havent gotten much use out of it. I plan on using it more so hopefully you won't get sick of seeing the same thing. I loved that white belt stood out so much in the outfit. I knew I wanted to pair plaid in this outfit as this shirt hold the same story as my scarf - bought but not worn much. I have this shirt and a plaid jacket which I wear alot..

AND NOW....

My bachelorette Party outfit:

I looked quite different that what I usually look like. I wore makeup and glasses were off, curled my hair and they surprisingly stayed that way all night. I love this sequin dress and paired it with marroon shoes, marroon clutch and maroon lipstick (thank B for letting me borrow). I thought all the marroon would be too macthy matchy but turned out not too shabby. We had dinner with close girlfriends, opened gifts, went to a bar, played some adult games (not my cup of tea but tried it anyway, turned out to be fun than I thought) had a time of my life in a fancy limo ride which had music pumping ....which took us to the dance lounge and we danced the night away...........

I am so blessed my sis in law to be and my few best friends created the best night for me...a night to remember for ALL my life :)

How was your weekend??

This was my weekend, Sunday was a day to catch up on sleep, laundry, etc.

Cozy

We had our first snow fall this week and it looks soo whimsical out. Winters are so cold here, and we are scheduled to get next snow storm tomorrow. Yikes, atleast I get to wear in layers this winter. I have had this purple vest- like sweater for so long, I cant remember how long. Before I started blogging, I would never wear it. But I found this baby recently and I cant wait to wear it over and over again this winter. I kept it netural elsewhere and belted the vest to give it some shape ;)

Hope you are staying warm wherever you are. I am off to get some hot chocolate and curl up to read Ellen's new book - Seriously......I'm Kidding. I have a feeling I will love it.

Thank you for visiting. And follow if you like :)

Bright and Cheerful Mondays!

I didnt have my photographer around today and this is my best shot at taking some clumsy photos

A day of no-makeup!

Today was a kind of hurry Monday. Woke up late, didn't have time to get rready (I have been lucky with no pimples lately). I have had this blue sleeve shirt for so long and never did I pair it with my grey vest. It looks nice but I think the scarf tied it all together. Guys, I didn't have Mr. Fiancee around me to take photos so these are my best attempt. I argued with myself whether I should post these bad quality photos or not, then I thought what the heck? I will post bec I think this is an outfit worth sharing, plus sharing is caring anD I care about you all very much.

How was your Monday?
(P.S. I am super pumped about the wedding in INDIA!)

To Keep or Not to Keep?

Shirt: Old NAVY, Scraf: F21, Jacket: H&M, Pants: BR, Purse: Sears

The reason I took front and back pictures of this blazer is because I need help of yours. I got this H&M blazer recenlty and now I don't know if I want to keep it or not. The tag is still on and I got 30 days to return it.

Let me run thru smoe pros and cons with you: Pros: Plaid (so 70's trend), its wool blend so will keep me warm in office, love the bottom cut of it, has elbow patches, suede collar. Cons: Bec it is wool blend, it itches my skin around the neck, cost is $40 (keep in mind I am used to $5 blazers - from thrift stores).

So I dont know. What do you say - Keep or Return?

Feminine meets Edgy

Pants: GAP, Scarf: Costablanca, Sweater: Thrifted, Military Jacket: Urban Behavior

Military jackets are so versatile!

I feel like a dressed up valentine in this outfit (uuuum Nav, Valentine's day is in 4 months!?). Thats the thought that crossed my mind when i spotted this beauty pink sweater screaming my name at the local thrift store. Mind you I went there to hunt for red skinnies, instead I came home with a valentine comfy comfy (wool and cashmere blend!). I am such a planner, aren't I? now, dont be surprised if i repeat this same outfit on valentine's day!

I just kept it pretty neutral elsewhere with a military jacket- although i think this outfit for me is feminine meets edgy cross breed type of outfit. (as if outfits breed?!).

28. RED wasn't my color UNTIL..

I didnt wear any bright colors like red until I was like 18 years old! Growing up in India and being dark is not the most asthetically appealing looking color. I always believed others when they told me that I should stick to light colors because they go well with my skin tone.

So I stayed away from RED! AND HOT PINK and green and purple (you know the brightest colors!)

UNTIL....

We moved overseas!

Now, I love how I dress and expirement lots with bright colors! If you look in my closet, I mostly have COLORS and I love it!

Anywho, I just felt like sharing some of my insecurities turning into securities now :) It was rainy today but we decided to cheer myself with some red and a scarf, worked pretty good! Very comfy to say the least.

Hope you are having good week!

25. Are we there yet?

Alright, so this weekend I had an engagement party to attend! I had no outfit planned but wanted to wear something decent. Ithought, what the heck, just cheat and wear some nice shirt and a skirt that is not part of the mix. But it was raining, so then decided against the skirt, put in my flared jeans (that are part of the mix), throw some pink in and topped it off with a red cropped jacket and threw on a leaopard print on top for warmth..and VOILA~ this is what you get. Not bad right? I quite like it, actually =]

End of story. It felt good to not cheat!

Hope you having a amazing shmazing weekend! =]

2. How do you eat grapes with a fork

So today for lunch, I had a home-made salad with you know the usual greens, low fat dressing and I decided to add some GRAPES in! Well wat the heck, I just couldn't eat my salad properly because i couldn't get a hold on the grapes with my fork. Their round shape combined with the dressing - they just kept slipping from the fork and rolling and rolling........and some ended up all over the floor.

Too bad they come in round shape, only if they were cubed or squared, we could have our salad in peace :P (Looking back at it, I could have cut the grapes in half or use a spoon - clearly I was having a BRAIN FART!)

Not that i want to go on about this silly grapes salad story - moving on the outfit.

Yesterday was beautiful out = skirt outfit. Today its rainy and windy and cold (Told you in my 30X30 post - weather here never stays the same) = Pants outfit. So I wore my brown BR pants with black top + pink cardi + kitten heels and my mom's scarf. I wanted to steal it from her for quite some time and today was my chance. I think it brings the outfit together!

Who enjoyed the new background?

I picked up THIS BOOK to read bec I LOVE her music and now I get to read about her life story! Have you read the book or plan to??

Thanks for stopping by and please comment on what you liked/disliked about the outfit? :)

Love, Love, love :)
