Stripes and Wine (& Interview outfit)

Top: F21 ($7), Blazer: F21 (hand me downs), Skirt: CLEO ($20), Pumps: Steve Madden via Winners ($25), Watch: Fossil (gift)

I wore this to my interview recently, for a position I wanted to go into confidently so I put on my stripes shirt, a classic black blazer with an unexpected berry/wine pencil skirt. I think it always important to make a impression when  going for interviews if you dress up a little, show your personality while still being conservative.

Dressing good and feeling confident not only makes a good impression the moment they see you, it also helps you to answer the questions confidently. This was for a office based industry interview for a professional role in a municipality.

Would you wear this to an interview?

Bright Mondays - Part 4!

I dont know who made the rule of not wearing black and brown together because I sometimes like to mix my neutrals. Well I jsut broke that rule, hopefully it wont break anyone's heart. I love that blue just pops.

And I braid my hair on mondays -EZ! PZ!

Pants: BR outlet ($20), Top: thrifted ($5), Cardigan: Dynamite ($10), Ring: F21 ($5), Earrings: $3

Its been a while since I have posted a "Bright Monday" outfit and since I wore a bright cardigan today and all the smiles that my outfit attracted today reminded me of the feature I do! - Bright Mondays!

Bright Mondays - Part 4!

We have been having lovely weather here, it is the end of November  and with above 0 temperatures here, it is pretty much aweomse (did you notice I just misspelled Awesome?!) Not once in 10 years I have lived here, has it ever happened that I am able to wear dresses in winter time without freezing my a$$, so needless to say I am very happy.

Dress: Wal-Mart, Tights: F21, Booties: Aldo, Cardigan: RICKI's (old)

Mr. F. started a new job last week and I packed him lunch - and got really creative with the hot sauce.

Hope you had a good thanksgiving and took full advantage of Black Friday sales. Canada had few sales in the stores until XMAS, I am on a shopping ban so decided to stick to it (plus everytime I organize my closet, I think to myself - Nav you have too much stuff, please don't buy more!) I am pretty much patting myself on the back on not heading out to the stores this weekend.

What did you score from the Black Friday sales? Pls do share!

Bright Mondays - Part 2!

I know I am talking about dressing up on a monday. ARE.U.CRAZY? This is the last thing on my mind!  Most people are craving more sleep, more coffee on monday morning. Me on the other don't drink coffee and cant wait to get to work on Mondays. I get to work in nice clothes and meet nice people and make nice things happen in order to have a nice city and have a nice time living in it. Doesn't it sound nice?

So where was I? Oh yeah dressing up bright on mondays. Its like sleeping in and coffee for me - bec colors eneergize me. Maybe some of you will actually enjoy this post if you are like me - dress up full on - on Mondays.

White Shirt: Hand me Downs, Jeans: Thrifted, Sweater: F21

Last week was Rodeo week here in our city, so our work let us wear jeans all week!! This is what I wore on last Monday. I am a little behind my posts yet I don't have any more pictures to post. That sounds very confusing. I bet most people aren't even gonna read this. Who reads my writing here?

Hope you are having an amazing MOnday, thanks for coming by!

Bright Mondays!

Today at work we did a quiz on work styles. People were organizers, nurtures, researchers. I am an energizer. Ryan said it doesn't surprise him! this kid knows me well! I feel so high on energy without even any coffee on mornings. We organize events, parties without any troubles, can be life of the party, bring people together towards a common goal, task-oriented etc. etc. (no wonder I have itching to start a linky party here...soon my friends soon..)

I am in love with this tan blazer and the boots, are you sick of them yet?
Ryan and I met in unversity and we used to study together not in library or at home, but rather in classrooms. We would use the whiteboard to write notes etc, solve problems, play hangman (when taking study breaks).....classrooms are an integral part of our study years....

Oh so much fun being in the classroom again - this time to use it as free advertising for the blog! (R's idea)

I love him!

Bright and Cheerful Mondays!

I didnt have my photographer around today and this is my best shot at taking some clumsy photos

A day of no-makeup!

Today was a kind of hurry Monday. Woke up late, didn't have time to get rready (I have been lucky with no pimples lately). I have had this blue sleeve shirt for so long and never did I pair it with my grey vest. It looks nice but I think the scarf tied it all together. Guys, I didn't have Mr. Fiancee around me to take photos so these are my best attempt. I argued with myself whether I should post these bad quality photos or not, then I thought what the heck? I will post bec I think this is an outfit worth sharing, plus sharing is caring anD I care about you all very much.

How was your Monday?
(P.S. I am super pumped about the wedding in INDIA!)
