Friday's casual oufit

Friday evening, I organized a little surprise birthday party for my Fiancee Ryan as he turned 25 and his sister Megan turned 23 years old. Ryan had no STINKIN' idea that he is coming over for a party with over 15 people. Well he was surprised! It was great fun....we had constant chatter around the house and eating, drinking, just having fun. The bollywood dance party went on for hours like usual!! Ryan and Megan had a great time too, I could tell as they looked so happy... =) They both have birthdays on the EXACT same day but 2 YEARS apart, weird right? Yes. Well who cares, we had 2 cakes to eat in 1 night! Total carb and Sugar Load.!

Well, these are my last week's nuggets. How was your week? Hope your weekend is going great! Mine is great so far! Its Sunday tomo - fingers and toes crossed, I am going thrift shopping tomorrow and don't forget to tune in for a Tuesday tip!

Well I hope you enjoyed the post, if you did, please leave a comment!
I am off to sleep now with sweet dreams!

Tippy Tuesdays #2

Hello. It is Tuesday - means another tip from Navland! Yipee...... ok! Moving on.....haha

Ever find people give you cards (for birthdays, anniversaries, thank you cards, get well soon, Valentines day cards, christmas cards)  and they are just lying around or hidden in drawers? Well get them out and lets send outt hese bad boys to work! and decorate out room at the same time. You ask how?? Let me show you how I do it.

I had 35 cards in total. I am a very sentimental person so I couldnt even think of throwing them out and just from a faint memory, I had seen them hanging in a book shop like how I am about to show you.

You willl need the following:

  • 10 Same size cards (Big)

    • 10 smaller size cards (if you have any - if not, no problem)
    • Stapler
    • Paper pins - the ones shown below (4 of them)

    Lets start...

Take the BIG cards - 8 of them and take bottom left of one card end of the card and staple it to the top right end of another card...keep doing this until you make a queue of them stapled together like in the following picture.

For the smaller cards, I make a horizontal queue by stapling top right corner of one card with bottom left corner of another card, shown like below:

And there you have it. Once all stapled, hang the long big cards queue (of about 8 cards) in a corner with one of those pins I should you above. I placed the horizontal short cards queue on one of the side walls.

Let me show you what I mean.

I have put them up in 2 corners of my room. It makes my room very personal and a good reminder that people adore you for your efforts or for who you are!

Hope you all enjoy this tippy tuesdays episode! I  always love to read comments! Leave below if you enjoyed this post and will be using this idea! Let me know how you all organize your cards?

Have a good rest of the week! Stay fab!

    I love Green Blue Flowers!

I think I missed tuesday outfit....... because I was so busy...well I am not gonna rant about how busy I was - its ok. I had a better day today - how about we talk about positive things with a light heart. Talking about positivity, I am so excited for our family, we are getting our hosue built and come summertime, it will be complete. I will live in that house for only few months until we getting married but for the time we are going to be there, its going to be awesome!!

Despite being tired in the morning, I survived the day without coffee (yikes!) and drank my 2 litres of water  instead. It (Kind of) woke me up! Only kind of, not gonna lie.
As I arrived at work, I decorated my office for St. Patricks day and below is the picture of it. Since I had the camera out, I am going to show you how cold it looked outside my office window on 14th floor.......

I love looking at this plant. So pretty!!
Anywho, moving onto what I wore today - grey pants with grey sweater, green full sleeve shirt and lovely printed scarf

                                                          A close up shot.
Meet my favourite co-worker Dianne...shes THE most positive and happiest person I have ever met. Shes so funny, so full of life. I listen to her past life stories and shes been through some hard stuff in her life. Despite of all the hardships, she counts her blessings and is full of gratitude. I love you Dianne.

Moving onto some simple accessories I wore, my brown watch from Forever 21 (God, I think I keep them in good business, I have too much stuff from that store - don't we all? we do, ok now I do not feel that bad) - I like this watch particularly of its big dial. On days, when I forget my glasses, I can still tell time. hee hee
I am turning into such a scarf person and I have so many of them..I am thinking of showing you my scarf collection sometime. I wonder if anyone would be interested in that? Let me know in the comments below..
and just some simple earrings for work...
Since its very cold out lately, the weather is VERY dry and our lips get chapped easily. This has been my "Lip saver" product from Wal mart for only $4.80. Highly recommend it, its better than vaseline.

Well, did you like this outfit? let me know. I will always love receiving comments from my readers. I am just getting the hang of blogging now, I love to make time for blogging. It is so much fun. I love it. Thank you guys for taking the time  to stop by and read my blog.

Here is something to think about as you go back to whatever you were doing before:

    Have a great day!
