Is it only me who can't get enough of stripes?!

I have striped shirts in every color seems like (well I dont have it in green, purple etc.).. but I think I buy so many sub-conciously and all of a sudden, I have 8 striped shirt floating around. My mind asks the following question before buying any shirts: a) Is it a good color? b)Would it make a good professional and casual clothing choice? c) Is it a color/pattern you don't have or is unique? d) Can you layer it to make it transistion from season to season? Once that list is taken care of, I think no further!

What kind of criteria do you use when making a shirt-buying decision?

PS I am so proud of myself for not shopping the last month AT. ALL - not on clothing, shoes, accessories - nada! (not even Value Village/Savers 50% off sale) - Applause please! I know I am so proud of myself!

I recently came across Dr. Suess. I just read the above quote and loved it. I had no idea WHO he/she was. I did not grow up here and so I googled it and then I read and read more and more about it (there goes half of my day but time well spent) and I really really really love this above quote.

You might think Nav didnt put a white tee in the mix. You are right I didn't. I just felt like wearing a white top so you know the white striped skirt I wore in the first outfit- I just pulled it up to make a top. It worked out. What do u think?


And Today I had the honor to volunteer at an event called "Africa Connect" in the City and after I was done volunteering, I went jewellery shopping. And I tell you African jewellery is BIG AND BRIGHT, just the way I like it.

My go-to shopping outfit

(WHOA! - Thrifted outfit or what?! - pure awesomness)

One of those days when you dont feel like coming out of your PJ's but R. asked me to go on a mini-shopping trip, I decided to dress decent. And this is what we have. simple outfit.

On our way to shopping, we decided to stop by local bakery and ordered this cream puff...ceam puffs are my fav. I started feeding the driver and we get cream all over his nose! haha

Outfit Analysis:

What worked: Coral with blue is nice

What didn't: I could have done better - I have so many necklaces and scarves...I could have come up with a decent outfit but my brain has been fried lately.

Outfit Analysis:
What worked: I like to wear this color - teal green lots but I am always skeptical to wear it on blue jeans - its too matchy matchy. So I chose to wear this rocking long necklace to break up the matching colors. And ofcourse, I love the floral flats!!

What didn't: I think the big black belt kinda of is out-of-place, no? What do you think?

What to wear with Boyfriend Jeans - TIPPY TUESDAYS # 9

It is Tuesday - hooray! You may ask Hooray for what?? For another Tippy Tuesdays episode!!

Today I show you some ways to wear our boyfriend's jeans! or Fiancee or husband jeans, you know what i mean. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnd. even if you dont have any sig.fig. (significant figure) in your life, worry not you can still wear them!

I love all 3 looks, 1st look can be worn for "Casual Fridays" for work.
2nd look: Going out with friends on the weekend, hanging out on the patio at a resturant, out shopping.
3rd look:  is downright very relaxed look, on a coffee date, catching a movie with friends.
