Stripes and Wine (& Interview outfit)

Top: F21 ($7), Blazer: F21 (hand me downs), Skirt: CLEO ($20), Pumps: Steve Madden via Winners ($25), Watch: Fossil (gift)

I wore this to my interview recently, for a position I wanted to go into confidently so I put on my stripes shirt, a classic black blazer with an unexpected berry/wine pencil skirt. I think it always important to make a impression when  going for interviews if you dress up a little, show your personality while still being conservative.

Dressing good and feeling confident not only makes a good impression the moment they see you, it also helps you to answer the questions confidently. This was for a office based industry interview for a professional role in a municipality.

Would you wear this to an interview?

  1. Looking great!!

Since the interview was for a professional role, i personally would not wear the stripes shirt as that shouts too casual. Very beautiful outfit though!! :)

  6. I would wear this to an interview - it has style, but isn't trendy. I like the color of the skirt.

  9. Love this outfit! The stripes and the wine are fab together. I am boring for interviews and always wear a two piece suit of some sort because it makes me feel more polished...and i don't have to stress as much about putting together the perfect outfit. But you have a blazer and a classy skirt, so I approve. Hope the interview went well!
