New Summer Staple

I am in love with this dress. Love the color, cut, quality, price, and so comfy - my first maxi dress. This is my new staple for this summer and I love the details of it.

I wore it for Casual Friday at work - the top detail showed alot of skin so to keep it conservative, I paired it with a black top underneath.

Dress to Impress

I chose to not wear the typical Black suit and white buttonup for my interview on thursday this week. Instead, I decided to wear Blue button up with a black fitted blazer and my fav. grey skirt and black tights with some black heels. I wasnt sure about wearing a chunky neclace but felt like taking a risk  so went ahead with that and pearl studs.

Ryan is learning Punjabi (my native language) so here he was impressing me with how much he is been learning and I was shocked! He can now make sentences and makes me so very proud and I cant wait to marry him in nine months!!  :)

Totally took pictures in the parking lot today and got Looks. it was awkward. everytime someone would go by, we would pretend like we are not taking pictures. Well, a lady came by to say to me, "you are lucky that he's taking your pictures. My husband hates cameras and wont even take pictures!"

I wanted to tell her that well sometimes, when he is not available, I take my own pictures with you know set the camera and run and hopefully 1 or 2 pics would come out nice. You should try that :) But I didn't. It might have made things more awkward.

 I told Ryan to not listen to her in case he was getting any ideas on what's normal (A.K.A. not take any more outfit pictures for Nav)

Here is a good-bye squinty-smile - bec the sun is in my face. But I am not complaining, I like sunshine :)

Sunday night I checked the weather and it was predicted to be 25+ degrees! First thought: Beautiful Day, Second thought: SKIRT outfit.

I thrifted this skirt 2 weeks ago and I am in love with the colors and florals in it - it will go with alot of things I think.

     Edmonton is the new WINDY CITY. It has been windy - 50 Km/Hr type of winds the entire week!

This pants have a sentinmental value for me. I bought them from Garage 5 years ago and they were $10! Yeah but I bought it with a friend who is my bestie now! I love you Megha and we call them "our" pants. It brings warm memories of her and I hanging out in the city (now shes moved away - lives 6 hours away) whenever I wear this pants and they are perfect Classic Cargo summer capris (they never go out of style).

I am in love with this thrifted top and my recent $1 thirfted necklace from Goodwill.

What else I did this weekend:

Since its been stressful at home lately - it will be until I get married I supposse  - I visited Bath and Body works on friday and i wanted to try these 2 aromatherapy scents. One is Lavendar Spearmint - Anti-Stress and the other is Orange Ginger - Energy.

I love how they smell and help me unwind :) They are def my NEW LOVE!

I bought this nude-pink bag last fall from ALDO. and Its my new staple this spring. I love the color of it, and it holds everything I need in a day - Book, lunch, water bottle, spare flats, keys and some other junk. haha

And my fav perfume! I got it as a Christmas gift from my mom-to-be last year. Christian Dior - I wear this only on special occassion but I felt like treating myself this weekend so wore it. Love the light smell of it :)

Lately, I have bought 5 things (clutch, maxi dress, 2 necklaces, fedora) so according to my recent rule: I had to get rid of 5 things in my closet: so got 3 clothing pieces, 2 pairs of heels and donated them to value village tonight.

On a total random chance, I was leaving work to go on my lunch break yesterday and guess who I run into!? Janis from Dress me Dearly - my first face to face intro to an Edmonton style blogger. Its funny I felt so comfortable talking to her like we have met before, but ofcourse we havent! So here is a shoutout to Janis! :)

Today I wore blue on blue - with hints of white. Do you like?
