Outfits Flashback: Oct 2011

I usually don't post on the weekends - so you can find me posting for work outfits (M-F). I have seen other bloggers do a month of outfits in review - I think it is such a great idea. 1) it shows you what items you been gravitating towards lately and it is time to wear other items that you bought some time ago 2) How did I do styling them? 3) added bonus - you might get some ideas remixing similar items from your closet.

Fall Staple

Anyone else like plaid these days? I sure am and it is gonna be my staple for fall and winter in coming months. I love this jacket, you insert some color with it and you pretty much look chic. For a change in jeans, I paired it with black instead of blue jeans. I am always tempted to pair this blazer with coral tones, but so far I have paired it with coral, mustard and teal here. Lets see what other colors I can pair it with.

Black and Red never fails.......

This is one combo that I consider classic. Black and red never fails. Do you feel like that about these 2 color combos! I added this gold statement necklace to add more of an accent color on. the necklace is not really gold, its more like gold rustic feel to it.

Today morning, I changed out of atleast 2 outfits then I just settled for this outfit. The necklace (jewellery) once again saved my outfit. For that reason only, I love ALL my acceessories (all my 10+ jewellery, scarves, belts etc!)

Bright Mondays!

Today at work we did a quiz on work styles. People were organizers, nurtures, researchers. I am an energizer. Ryan said it doesn't surprise him! this kid knows me well! I feel so high on energy without even any coffee on mornings. We organize events, parties without any troubles, can be life of the party, bring people together towards a common goal, task-oriented etc. etc. (no wonder I have itching to start a linky party here...soon my friends soon..)

I am in love with this tan blazer and the boots, are you sick of them yet? 

Ryan and I met in unversity and we used to study together not in library or at home, but rather in classrooms. We would use the whiteboard to write notes etc, solve problems, play hangman (when taking study breaks).....classrooms are an integral part of our study years....

Oh so much fun being in the classroom again - this time to use it as free advertising for the blog! (R's idea)

Oooooh baby, its cold outside!

Oh man, the weather was COLD today!.....Brrrrrrrr! Time to bust out some sweaters and tights and boots...

I guess this weekend I will put away some summer clothes and bring out the next set of closet out - oh how I get so happy when I put away my summer clothes and take out the winter chunky knits, scarves, bulky coats out and I get the feeling of "just went shopping for new clothes".  I guess thats one positive thing about a small closet - I only keep one season clothes at one-time. Gosh, there is always positive in every situation - only if we look for it.

Effortless Look

You know one of the best things about working in an office is the chance to experiment with my clothing every day of the week. Some days I plan, most days are unplanned - trying to get ready in the morning in a rush. I thrifted this tan blazer recently (it was on my Shopping list Ideas) and I found it for much cheaper price than in store at F21. Lucky me!

Anywho, I first decided to wear this printed top because I had not worn it in a while. Then added the black pants, then the blazer and I feel the teal necklace just tied things up. Added some heels, and I was ready to head out the door. I call it my efforless look - well...bec it is. I ususally don't get too lucky in this dept.

 I am loving blazers this fall, are you? They are the most cosiest, trendiest thing to just throw on and tranform a look completely.

Halloween treat

This is my halloween treat, SMARITES! I love them, I didnt dress up this year but ate alot of candy. I tried not to have too many, but I did. You know what I heard on the news that candies that come in smaller pkgs, people are more likely to eat more of them versus having way less if the candy was in a bigger packaging. Interesting, no? I agree with it, I am guilty! I have done it.

Anywho, moving to the outfit. I am in love with this outfit. I just love how color coordinated it is. My last post on how many cardi's I have, I almost thought I am crazy for collecting so many. But reading from your comments, I fugred I am not the only one. I love my new Steve Maddy boots (I have a feeling I am gonna wear these boots lots, not only are they warm, but also go with alot of things!)
