Chandelier Eaarings

Dress: Dynamite
Sandals: Spring
Eaarings: Claire's
Belt: Thrifted

It was a gorgeous day out in Edmonton today and I took full advantage. Summers are so short here, and that while its here - I don't want to miss out on wearing skirts/dresses. This white dress is so versatile (like LBD) and has some nice crochet detailing on it. For some reason, I just felt like dressing up today (cue: Big Chandelier earrings) and got compliments from co-workers all day.

Nice job to the photographer, and I wasnt even posing. It is that candid.

Do you own a white dress? How do you style it?

NOW I NEED YOUR HELP: Please leave your opinions below and I am looking forward to you guys helping me decide:

I picked out these 3 combo's to wear for a summer wedding happening tomorrow. I am torn between these choices and don't want to be overdressed as it is a weekday wedding and is MY FIRST (Canadian wedding) one.

Please help me out!!

Thank you so much!

Fancy door, new deck...I cant complain

Dress: Walmart
Shoes: Payless
Cardigan: H&M
Belt: Thrifted
Necklace: Gift
Earrings: Forever XII
Bracelet: Mappins -Gift

Door: New House

Love the pleats. color and how it falls on me - hides my tummy :P

This new deck is wonderful. I love you deck, you make a perfect place to take picture. I am so happy and as a style blogger, I can't complain. I love this thrifted dress, has empire waist and has pleats. I had the choice to either get this dress in black and white pattern and or this green army pattern. I was so confused but I chose this one. Not sure if I made the best choice. But I figured black and white pattern skirt that I have should be enough, its better to have 2 different patterns than the same thing over and over again.

Do you think its a wise choice?

Christmas Shirt

Blouse - fairweather
Pants: GAP
Belt: Urban Planet
Shoes: Payless
Jacket - Urban

This shirt always reminds me of Christmas because I got it 4 years ago to wear it for Christmas get-together at Ryan's parents. I guess ruffles were a BIG detail back then too! and I love plaid (the country music lover that I am) and its tunic size! so it can worn in bazillion ways. Don't you just love classic pieces like that - that you can dress over and over again.

I promised you to show you my engagement dress sneek-peek few posts ago. Although, the dress has gone to get dry cleaning so I can't take a pic of it, but I did find something on google..so here it is...like the colors in the picture below matches the color scheme of the dress (punjabi choodi-daar suit)

Anywhoo Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! :)

Can't Get Enough of Blue

I thrifted this skirt few weeks ago and it was size 16! But I loved the print and if there is anything I have learned about thrifting is that - Size doesn't matter. I spend $5 more bucks to make it size 4 and it is BEAUTIFUL. Printed skirts go with any color and can be worn for work or casual on the weekends!

Also, I might have found the perfect pair of Nude wedges out there, also. So comfortable!

Blouse: Reitmans
Cardigan: H&M
Nude Shoes: Naturalizer
Skirt - Thrifted
Watch: AVON

Blus really IS my fav color! I cant get enough of this color! I keep buying many clothes in blue, I need to stop but don't quite know how! :P

Do you tend to stock up clothing in your favourite colors quite often? How do you limit yourself not to buy too much of one color?

I am in LOVE with this unique H&M Skirt. Don't you love the pattern?! I have SO many black skirts but I figured this one has quite a unique pattern and would definitely add a pinch of spice to any outfit.

Possible Remixing Addiction

Purple is one of my fav colors and pairing it with a tan belt did WONDERS for me! :)

Sweater: Fairweather
Belt: Thrifted
Pants: Smart Set
Blouse: Smart Set
Watch: Gift

Is it possible to have remixing addiction?? I think I have that addiction. Should I pick out 30 more items and remix for 30 more days??? I am tempted to. For 2 reasons: My photographer was serious and took photos of me religiously during 30X30,  and now since its over, he has abondoned me. and second - My co-workers mentioned today why don't you remix again!?

I loved to get so many uses out of one piece of clothing - I felt so good using the same items OVER and over AGAIN to come up with DIFFERENT outfits. Did you ever get that feeling during the challenge??

Would YOU like to see more of 30X30? Let me know below!

We had many reasons to celebrate - Belated Mothers day for both moms, bhumi graduating from medical school, me getting promoted... it was amazing time...we talked and laughed and since bhums is done her medical studies, she was telling us some funny and sad stories from her patients. Congratulations Dr. Bhojak, you make us all so proud! :D

Blue shirt and Floral flats

Can you see snow almost gone in the background? (Yay!) it means outside pictures and weather is beautiful here in Edmonton, Alberta. So I ventured out with my camera while my dad wondered why I had gone to the backyard with the camera. I am sure he saw me posing. haha

I had my LASIK consulting session with my Optometrist today and he told me I am a candidate for the surgery. The only thing is cost $1500/eye. I am not sure if I need it so bad, maybe when I start getting benefits from my company, I will consider it. I kind of want to get it done before the wedding next year so I dont have to fuss with contacts all day long and have blood-shot, dry eyes all day and I dont want to wear my glasses either. I dont know what to do. Anywhoo, when I was done with my appointment (It was in the londonderry mall) - it was too hard to just leave the mall without checking out some stores.

I had seen Jenna (fellow Edmonton bloggie!) below or you can check her blog here where she did a post wearing these flats and I had liked them alot. But bec my feet are huge and I am size 10 and I looked and looked and couldnt find my size anywhere.  Well today I walk in the store and I saw size 10! I bought 2 different pairs for $20. How can you not get them for $10? I love Ardene's!

Shirt Tunic: H&M
Belt: Forever 21
Tights: GAP
Earrings: Forever 21
Necklace - Forever 21

I am in love with these floral "bow" pins. They are from Ardene's as well.

Love this chunky necklace - Forever 21

Hope you enjoyed the pictures! My Fiancee is done grad school tomo (done.finished.) so I look forward to hang out with him much more now. I feel like I havent seen him in a while (Well with the exception of seeing him on UofA campus for 15 minutes after work) because grad school is hard and requires unlimited hours away from girlfriend and more time with books. But that will change real soon. and then he has to do this long-term research project and write 50 page long paper called THESIS. I dont know how that kid puts unlimited hours towards school. But atleast he is done with classes. =]

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Thanks for stopping by. Leave me a comment on your thoughts and feedbcak. I love reading them! xo

Weekend Nuggets

This weekend was full of surprises, friends meetups, going out, relaxed sundays, time spent with my family - just the kind of weekend I like.

  1. A best friend of mine Bhumi (friends for over 10 years - she was the first person I got introduced to in my high school in canada when my family moved) came home for a day and I sneeked in 2-3 hours with her and Sarah. You girls are so much fun! Bhumi is studying medicine in US and so she gets to come home only few times a year..everytime she does, we have a blast!... It was great to catch up with her in person. Awesome surprise! Thank you. When we all get together, we take pictures like CRAZY! and this time was no different. Bhumiès parents new house is so beautiful. You could take pictures in any corner and they would turn out GREAT!. We had mini photography session, quick lunch and chai (tea). I miss you 2 already.........
My weekend outfit

Necklace and Ring - both from Forever 21

A Hand made piece ethnic wear - love it!
Chai

 2. Got a chance to go watch a curling game where my Fiancee parents played on friday night. I had never been to one, got to learn the game and all in all it was a good outing and got to see the family again! =)

Ryan and Grandpa

We were the blue Team!
3. Went on a coffee date with Megan and her 2 friends. It was my first time meeting them. One of the girls had done something called a death race. She is very athletic! I have never been much athletic in my life. Well unless you count dance, badminton.

4. I enjoyed attending Purse Party at Kim place. They were selling about 40 designer bags at less designer prices, some jeans, wallets and sunglasses. It was alot of fun.

5. Its def spring in my town now (Fingers crossed, hopefully it doesnt drop in the coming week).

6. Last week, I changed office spaces and now I have a roomy office with a big window and in the afternoon, the sun peeks through - I love it!

7. So happy for our (my family) new house that is being built - we will have it ready by July. Below I will show you some pictures.

When they first started building it

This was taken few weeks ago!

It has a door, windows and a roof too! The progress gets me so excited!

8. Spent some time at home doing laundry today, doing blog posts, made lunch for the next two days and vacuumed the house - not bad eh?
