Mint and Florals

Top: H&M ($13.95), Skirt: Gorge via WalMart ($15), Nude Heels: Shoe Warehouse sale ($13)

Both top and the skirt are newly purchased items and I love the pieces alone and always end up wearing them seperately. I wore them together last week work look and it looked magical together, an outfit I will definitely be repeating this summer.

I love this new nude heels I bought - something finally matching to my skin tone.

Peachy

Dress: Walmart ($15), Blazer: H&M ($30), Watch: Fossil (gift), Pumps: Steve Madden, skinny belt: borrowed from another dress

I bought this dress at wal-mart a year ago and I have worn it so many different ways. I probably would not have have ventured out to wear it so many ways, had I not being blogging. Just one of the great positive change I have noticed. Amen.

As a skirt with a neutral top, layered with a collared shirt, wearing the dress alone, wearing it with a colored cardigan.

Hope you find inspiration to get more use out of those dresses in your closet!

Bright Mondays (Part: III) - PONCHO

Someone asked me the other day -why don't you wear makeup. If you did, your photos would come out really good. which means that right now, my photos come out (somewhere btwn ok and not so good!).

Dear reader, thank you for your suggestion. I do not wear makeup bec a) I am so-not a morning person, I don't time in the morning to put on makeup. Its either breakfast or makeup. I choose breakfast.

b) I don't own fancy makeup like that one thing that you put on your face which transforms your look. You know those multi-tasking creams which are sunscreen, foundation, concealer, anti-againg cream - all-in-one. I don't own those. They are expensive and I just don't value speding money on it, atleast not yet.

c) My Hubby-to-be like me to be natural.

d) Makeup causes my skin to breakout. So I just let my skin breathe. I have had enough skin problems in the past due to it.

d) When I go out - I do wear makeup. but only once in a while.

So ladies, is it necessary in your opinion to wear makeup in order to blog for outfits? (I hope not or I seriously missed the menu)

Shopping: Behind the Scenes

A few weeks back, I was in H&M and went window shopping. Little that I know, I would end up trying a few items on. While I was on there, I thought of taking pictures and show you what I tried and what I actually bought. If you are like me, I ususally try alot of things but try to only buy the ones I think are worth the money or I can see myself wearing the item over and over again.

I tried a bright orange cardigan, 2 dark blue capes, a lace top, a blazer and a tunic. Enjoy!

I liked the color but not the fit - didn't get it even though it was $14 only.

Navy blue cape - loved it , is so comfortable.

cropped navy blue lace top -

long tunic - looked better in hangers lol

another cape - quality wasn't amazing on this one.

I tried on 7 things, left the store with 3. I like to take pictures of myself with each item on (totally gonna do it in future too), taking a picture and seeing yourself wearing the product helped me decide what to purchase and what not to. Can't believe , I didnt think of doing this before.

What strategy do you use when going shopping to make sure you don't overbuy?
