I am Engaged!!!

So you know how life happens - yeah that's what happened. I was so super duper busy with an engagement party last saturday. It happened and I am so happy how it went. The ceremony was my favourite part. The dance party, the guests, my friend looked so beautiful, the ring (which I love). Seeing my dad dance across the dance floor - seeing him so happy for me and Ryan brought tears to my eyes. 2 years ago, it was tough phase for my family trying to accept Ryan in the family and I can say that all the hard work paid off!! The lesson: Fight for your life, because love conquers all problems! Seeing both sides of the family happy and lovingly doing everything to make the day so special for Ryan and I, I am so blessed!!!

Here is a sneek peek at the engagement - enjoy!

So happy together!

me and Riya - my niece

Chunni Chadai ceremony - my fav part!

There you have it. I am on Cloud 9!!

Will be back on doing outfit posts soon!! Thanks for visiting and hanging around :) I got the best followers! :)

Yellow Gold It Is.....

We arrived at the mall first thing on saturday (before the mall was even open - we were eager to start) and we had 4 planned visits to different stores. I wore the bright yellow top with some jeans - nice, comfortable shopping outfit.

Looking at rings - and waiting for the stores to open

I have NEVER been in a mall - where shops are closed. It felt weird being so early, but we got LOTS accomplished shopping all DAY.

3 top contenders today - one thing is decided I am going with yellow gold, we were thinking of getting a ring (not too fancy) for now and then upgrade later! But then I kinda feel like engagement ring is his gift to me, I shouldn't be thinking about upgrading his gifts.

What did you guys do? Did you buy fancy ring at first and kept the same ring or did you buy first and upgraded later?

Would love for you to help me out! I value your suggestions :)

Not so Typical Friday Night

This is what I wore recently. My mom got me this disney shirt which had "FASHINONISTA" written all over it! This.shirt.was.made.for.me.

Decided to knot up the shirt for the evening.

Then the FUN BEGAN! It was long weekend! R and I grabbed a quick bite at home after work and grabbed some iced cappaccino and on our way to RING SHOPPING! It was a sunny gorgeous day out!

So excited to go ring shopping. He hasn't proposed to me yet, YET we knows we are getting married next year, we are the most NON-TYPICAL couple you ever gonna meet.

Also went on a dinner date with my bestie and her hubby and talked about "important" things. I am Indian and eat indian food all the time yet food in a RESTURANT just smells and tastes SUPER GOOD every time.

And here are the 3 top contenders so far - sorry the 2nd pic is so blurry. The pictures DO not justify their prettiness AT ALL. I am not after the diamond, but after the design but none of these ones really have me SOLD yet. So we go again tomorrow.

Now, come back for another post as I will be updating my ring findings and outfits that went with them for each day :)

Tippy TUESDAYS!

Hello my dear readers, I am going to be a series called "Tip Tuesdays" where I would post one tip every Tuesday. It could be beauty, fashion related or just things that I have discovered over the years through trial and error or something I am passing onto your guys that I are called "Family Treasurers" You get the idea. Check back every Tuesday for helpful tips and I would love to hear some of your fun tips too! Dont by shy, pass them along! Sharing is Caring!

First tip is going to be an organization tip: How I organizing rings, studs, or small earrings, light bracelets etc. Last Christmas, I got so many chocolate boxes as presents esp those ones which have many individual chocolate spots (like this one from purdy's below)

I bought some home (empty ones) and cleaned it and organized all my rings, small bracelets, studs in it. Its all in one place and when i am heading out the door in a hurry, it takes literally seconds to grab something and wear it.

How I organized smaller earrings

Hope you found this tip exciting and helpful! How do you ladies organize small accessories? Is your way working out for you? Sharing is caring.

Have a great Day! Check back nexst Tuesday for another exciting tip. =)
